A friend referred me to Chris while I was still living in Las Vegas.She was contacted by Chris (as well as a hoard of other realtors) after ordering the Austin Relocation Guide. Chris offered an email course for people relocating to Austin. She found the quality of information he regularly sent her to be very helpful. When I mentioned to my friend I was accepting a job change to Austin, she told me to contact Chris.
Since I didn’t want to rush into buying a home I initially rented a place in late 2006 and began my home search in earnest now that I was living in Austin. All the while Chris patiently educated me on the Austin market as well as set up a custom home search website which automatically emailed me daily search results of homes in my price range and area of interest. That’s how I found out about our home the day it showed up on the market.
During the spring of 2007, my fiancé and I were desperately trying to find a new home in the growing, fast-paced south Austin market. We liked the area, its affordability, and how close it was to my job in downtown Austin. Well, it seems lots of people felt the same way!
We put in offers on a total of 3 homes. Every home had multiple offers within the first 2 days! We lost out on the first two but on the third we struck gold! There is no way I would have beat out the other offers without Chris’ help. Not only does he know the area but he knows his way around a Texas property contract. The seller’s agent even mentioned to me at closing other offers had come in offering more money, but because of the way Chris had structured and presented the offer, the sellers chose us.
Chris’s experience, knowledge of the local market, and professionalism helped us find our perfect home. Without Chris’s attention to detail, his ability to create repoire within the real estate community and professional persistence, we would still be looking!
